First Class Experience on the Go: 8 Ways to Arrive in Style and Comfort

First Class Experience on the Go

Most frequent flyers will tell you, the key to making travel efficient is all in the planning. From making reservations well in advance, allowing yourself plenty of time to navigate through security, to packing smart, the best way to take some of the stress out of traveling is to plan ahead as much as possible. Here is a series of expert tips to ensure your travel experience is first class all the way, no matter where you’re headed.

  1. Avoid extra fees. Plan ahead if you are checking a bag, or ensure your carry on meets FAA and airline requirements and size restrictions. Use your smartphone as your boarding pass to avoid printing fees (and save trees), pay in advance and find coupons to save on Wi-Fi. Generally, if you purchase Wi-Fi before you board your flight, it can cost significantly less than if you wait until you reach your seat.
  2. B.Y.O.F. (Bring Your Own Food!). Nothing puts a damper on the thrill of a getaway faster than a soggy sandwich that costs $12. For the sake of convenience and cost effectiveness, bring along your favorite snacks to avoid becoming “hangry” and/or poor. A great combo is a homemade salad to nosh on while waiting at the gate, and then a bag of almonds and some fancy chocolates to enjoy in-flight. Think of it this way, if you’re bringing something healthy from home, you won’t feel so bad splurging on an airport treat like fro-yo, a smoothie, or a gigantic cinnamon roll with that amazing gooey glaze that you can’t get at home. It’s okay to indulge; you’re on vacation, after all.
  3. Drink up. Bring an empty water bottle through security and fill it up at a drinking fountain on the way to your gate. Not only is it better for the environment, but you will be happy and hydrated while wait to board the aircraft, take off, reach your cruising altitude, and wait again until the beverage cart finally reaches you. Plus, staying hydrated helps fight off jet lag so you’re ready to start the fun as soon as you touch down at your destination.
  4. Invest in a good travel pillow. You can get some quality shut eye in those economy seats, but only with the right gear. If you want to avoid neck pain, a quality neck pillow is key. Pro-tip: an eye mask makes a great compliment to a neck pillow for the most restful sleep. It’s a wearable do not disturb sign.
  5. Don’t leave home without earphones. Earphones are right up there on the list with your wallet and your kid. If you inadvertently leave on of those behind, the rest of your trip will surely be a disaster. Seriously, you need earphones for air travel for a variety of reasons: to drown out noise that may interfere with your travel zen, to send the message to your seat neighbor that you’re not interested in hearing why they were in Memphis, and of course to catch a movie or some in-flight TV. The possibilities are endless, but only if you have earphones!
  6. Be strategic when selecting a seat. Whether you’re a nervous flyer, someone with a tiny bladder, or just looking for some peace and quiet, there’s a seat that’s perfect for you. If you are a person who will need to get up a few times during the flight, or you’re tall, then an aisle seat will allow you to get up as much as possible without disrupting other passengers. Travel and Leisure recommends choosing a seat forward on the wings, for a quieter ride with less jet noise. If you have a connection to make, a seat closest to the front is your best bet for quickly getting off a flight and on to the next.
  7. Get Cozy. Don’t forget to bring a scarf, sweater or cozy sweatshirt (style tip: pairs well with eye-mask for chic travel affect) or even a blanket to keep warm, particularly at higher altitudes. Socks are nice to have, too and can make all the difference.
  8. Bring along some toiletries. The recycled air and lack of ventilation can really take a toll on your skin. Be sure to bring along a small spray bottle of water, some light moisturizer, lip balm, and gum. This is the perfect combination to keep you looking and feeling fresh.

Travel is about exploration, expansion, and experience. Get out there and enjoy yourself in comfort and style, ready for anything – because you live life on the go!

Q and A With Dr. Sharon

Products on the Go is all about happiness

Ever wondered what inspired the groundbreaking lifestyle brand, Products on the Go®? We sat down with founder and CEO Dr. Sharon Fried Buchalter to learn about what inspires her to help people.

Q: How do the daily pressures of modern life cause us to be stressed?

A: I’ve worked for many years as a psychologist and marriage and family therapist and I see stress as the biggest complaint of most patients. We’re out the door, at the office, uploading photos, reading articles and eating dinner out all while accomplishing more in a single day than any society before us, which is great. It also means we are really busy, all the time. When we discover we can’t fit in everything that’s important, we become stressed.

Q: How do Products on the Go cut down on stress?

A: The sets are designed with the consumer in mind; the average person. I wanted to create a solution to the stress, so I did it through products that make things easier for people who are busy. My products simply allow people to spend more time doing what they want to do and less time shopping.

Q: Can you describe some of these Products?

A: We have five prepackaged lines and in there are products that you would normally buy for a specific event or purpose, say for example, changing a diaper. Everything is in there, all-natural, eco-friendly and recyclable, there for you. All you have to do it use it, put it back in the bag, and throw it out.

Q: So what’s in the diaper changing set?

A:Well it’s called Poop Happens, because it’s not a matter of if, it’s a matter of when. We have a bamboo diaper (it’s so soft!), bamboo wipes, diaper rash cream, the diaper changing pad which is disposable, and hand sanitizer for after.

Q: Wow! What are some other Products on the Go?

A: In addition to prepackaged sets, we also wanted to look at the lifestyles of teens and tweens so we developed a sunscreen with shimmer and sparkle. The Sun Bomb Action and Sun Potion Princess sunscreens are a favorite with kids and parents because it’s fun to wear and looks great in addition to providing great protection and all-natural ingredients.

Q: Anything else we should know about Products on the Go?

A: Really just that they’re made with you in mind. Our collections allow consumers to reduce the hassle, shopping time, and pressure related to purchasing individual items by offering everything you need in one easy to grab pack. We know you work hard, that is why we at Products on the Go strive to simplify your life at home, on vacation, or anywhere you go.

Five Tips to De-stress Your Life on the Go

Products on the Go less stress more happiness

It’s official: summertime is gone and the living is no longer so easy. With school, work, after-school activities and the holidays looming just around the corner, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed with all the things life tends to throw at us this time of year. In order to conquer the daily grind and be the hero of the holidays, consider these 5 tips to de-stress your life.

  1. Identify the source of your stress. It’s easy to identify major life events that cause stress; a big move, divorce, change or loss of jobs are all things that typically cause stress. It’s the daily stressors that can be a bit trickier to pinpoint. That’s why being honest and realistic with yourself about your thoughts and feelings is a good way to identify the real reasons we freak out. The American Psychological Association recommends keeping a to-do list, journaling or even just verbalizing your feelings in the moment can go a long way in the fight against stress. It can also be a step toward getting the help you need, whether it’s your spouse helping with the grocery shopping or empowering your kids to decide for themselves what to wear the night before, instead of the morning of.
  1. Unplug and power down. A recent University of Kansas study revealed that excessive smartphone use can lead to stress and anxiety. Our brains are incredible structures. They process so much information, store a lifetime’s worth of memories and through ‘neuroplasticity’ actually change their structure throughout our lives so we can continue to learn and remember things into our advanced years. But brains also need downtime to process the ever-increasing amount of sensory information with which we bombard them. If we are constantly engaging at school and work, then hopping on Facebook and continuing to engage with whatever people are sharing and posting, the brain isn’t getting that break it needs. That also means we’re not involved in activities we find relaxing and fun, less time engaging with the kids and connecting with our loved ones. Power down the tablet, put the laptop to sleep, and silence your smartphone. You’ll be glad you did.
  1. Get Physical. Physical affection releases oxytocin, a hormone that reduces pain and causes a calming sensation. Whether it’s holding hands with your little one, having a sexy night in with that special someone, or even cuddling up with the dog, giving and receiving affection is a good way to break up stress and anxiety for everyone in the family.
  1. Get Out. There are a whole bunch of ways getting outside reduces stress. For starters, becoming one with Mother Nature promotes exercise, increases brain function and is an excellent way to get some Vitamin D. The smell of many flowers found outside, including jasmine, lilacs and roses, have been proven to decrease stress and increase relaxation. The scent of fresh pine has even been shown to lower depression and anxiety. Not to mention that much of the United States is transitioning into fall colors right about now, so scoop up the kids, peel your husband away from football and take a day to immerse yourself in nature!
  1. Just Say No. It can seem as though our plates are always piled high with obligations and commitments which is why cutting stress can be as easy as simply saying no, according to the Mayo Clinic. It is important to remember that other people’s priorities are not your priorities; only you can determine what your priorities are. Politely declining to make yourself available to others on occasion, can free up your schedule to do the things that are really important.

These are just a few way ways you can cut down on the stress of the season and keep everyone in the family sane all the way through to the New Year.

Poop Happens: Perfect the Art of Diaper Changing

diaper-changing-kits

Let’s face it; poop does happen. For moms and dads on the go, Products on the Go has you covered with our eco-friendly disposable diaper changing kit called Poop Happens. Try these mom and dad-tested diaper changing tips to get you started.

Take the time to prepare
Minimize the time you and your baby will be uncomfortable by keeping Products on the Go’s eco-friendly Poop Happens diaper changing kit handy. Luckily, the experts at Products on the Go designed Poop Happens with everything you need: 1 natural Bamboo baby diaper, 2 natural diaper rash cream sachets, 10 Bamboo natural baby wipes packet, 1 biodegradable hand sanitizing wipe, 1 disposable diaper changing pad.

Always wash and dry and your hands or use the included biodegradable hand sanitizing wipe.

Safety Tip* When changing your baby’s diaper on an elevated surface can be a little dangerous. Always keep one hand on your precious baby at all times. If you are using a diaper changing table, remember to use the strap to secure your baby. Never leave your baby unattended when changing a diaper.

1)    Open the cute disposable diaper changing pad and open natural Bamboo baby diaper and place the back half underneath your baby. You will know if you are doing it right because the back half should come up to your baby’s waist. Let the clean diaper go because the disposable diaper pad and the diaper protect the actual surface. (Pro Tip: Sometimes your baby’s diaper is a huge mess, and using our disposable pads come in handy)

2)    Unfasten the diaper tabs on the soiled diaper. (Pro Tip: To stop the tabs from sticking to your fingers, fold them over.)

3)    Now pull down the front half of the soiled diaper. (Pro Tip: If you are changing the diaper of a baby boy you might want to consider covering his manhood with a clean cloth or the Poop Happens bag so he doesn’t pee all over you.)

Pro Tip: If there’s poop in the diaper, utilize the front half of the diaper to wipe most of it off your baby’s bum and then use the included Bamboo Natural Baby Wipes Packet.

4)    Next, fold the soiled diaper in half under your baby, clean side up. (Pro Tip: This provides an extra layer of protection between the clean diaper and your baby’s unclean bum.) Gently lift your baby’s bum off the table by grasping their ankles with one hand and lift upward.

5)    Always clean your baby’s front with the included Bamboo Natural Baby Wipes Packet or a clean cloth. (Pro Tip: If you have a girl always clean front to back towards her bum to keep the bacteria from causing an infection.)

6)    If your baby pooped, grab another Bamboo Natural Baby Wipes Packet and clean her bottom. (Pro Tip: You have two options you can lift her legs or gently roll her to one side then the other. Always clean the creases of your baby’s buttocks and thighs too.)

7)     It is always best to let your baby’s skin air dry and then pat it dry. To prevent diaper rash, use the Products on the Go Natural Diaper Rash Cream. (Pro Tip: It is always best to make sure your baby has a dry bottom. This is the best way to prevent diaper rash.)

8)    Remove the dirty diaper and place it to the side. Hopefully, you followed step 1, and the clean Products on the Go diaper should be underneath your baby.

9)    Gently pull the front half of the Biodegradable Bamboo diaper. (Pro Tip: Make sure his manhood is pointing down that way you won’t get peed on. Make sure the diaper between your baby’s legs is spread wide. You don’t want the diapers to bunch because that causes discomfort and chaffing.)

10)    Fasten the diaper on both sides with the tabs. You want the diaper snug but not too tight. (Pro Tip: Always look to verify that the tabs are not sticking to your baby’s skin.)

11)    Dress your baby and wash your hands or use the alcohol wipe. Since we use Bamboo in our diapers, baby wipes and hand sanitizing wipes it is easy to dispose of in the garbage.

At Products on the Go, we focus on easing the stress of everyday life and changing diapers can be stressful. Poop Happens and Poop Happens Swimmy is available in sizes small, medium, and large. Visit Products on the Go to learn more about our complete line of natural products.

All-Natural Products: Top 4 Benefits

Natural Products Association Member

In today’s consumer market the demand for quality all-natural products has risen dramatically in the past decade. People are much more conscious about the dangers that man-made ingredients can cause to someone’s health. In a research study done in 2014, it was found that over 50% of women of all ages surveyed considered it highly important that their products be all-natural. With this trend in all-natural products on the rise, many people do not actually know why it is so important to use all-natural products, they are merely following the trend. Don’t just go along blindly. Learn why all-natural products really are the best option for you and your family. Here are a few of the rich benefits that these products can provide you:

  1. Earth-Friendly: Who doesn’t want something that is good for you, and for the Earth? All-natural products are eco-friendly. They don’t produce the toxic residue that non-natural products produce. During the production of chemical-heavy products, these chemicals seep into the air and water. On the other hand, all-natural products are manufactured with eco-friendly ingredients that don’t release harmful chemicals into the environment.
  2. Non-Irritant: Redness no more! Non-natural products contain additives like artificial colors, chemicals, and harsh fillers. All of these additives can cause significant skin reactions, or even cause a person to go into Anaphylactic shock if their allergy is severe enough. Other irritations that these ingredients can cause are acne breakouts, rashes, and itchy skin. While it is possible for a person to have a reaction to an all-natural ingredient, it is much less likely. it is possible for a person to have a reaction to

Antioxidants have been found to reduce the appearance of aging, brighten skin, help fight diseases, and much more. For example, vitamin C is a well-known powerful antioxidant that is found in many all-natural skin care products that aid in the reduce the signs of aging.
  4. Well-Being: Ever wonder why you have that same headache every morning after doing your beauty routine? Your lotion may be the culprit. Many lotions and skin care products contain artificial fragrances that help mask the odor of other harsh chemicals. The combination of artificial fragrances and chemicals can cause headaches in many people. All-natural products tend to use essential oils instead of synthetic fragrances. The smell of calming natural Lavender oil is less likely to cause a headache than its artificial counterpart.

With all of these wonderful benefits and more, it’s clear why there is a growing demand for all-natural products in today’s market. Learn more about the suite of natural products from Products on the Go
